SM Arabian Stallion: Palomino - Emperor's Gold Bar

Palomino with white mane and tail, 1 back left sock, grey hooves and a solid face. Space-Age Products Special Run. Glued to an acrylic base with an embedded ‘horse-hockey' from the real horse 'Emperor's Gold Bar'. Came in a gold box and hang tag. Unknown quantity - made sometime between 1975-1980.

"Quick back-story on the paperweights. These were made by my parents and my Uncle in our home in 1980. White restaurant fruit cups were used as the mold for the paperweight base. These were offered in 4 colors: red, yellow, blue and green. The models were made by Breyer. Somehow my mom was able to obtain whatever stablemates they had on hand in this particular model. They were chosen as they were a close match to "Buddy", Registered name Emperor's Gold Bar. Yes, he was a real horse. My brother remembers there being either 4 or 5 cases of paperweights. Each case held 25 units. I am unsure where the paperweights went, whether sold or lost over the years." Diana Hall-Graff.

Side note: Two models and four bases were advertised in an auction; therefore, the numbers and letters on the photos correspond to those auction models (photos used with permission).
