Based on a real horse owned by Velma Johnston (Wild Horse Annie) whose story is told by Marguerite Henry in the book "Mustang, Wild Spirt of the West". Annie was instrumental in saving wild mustangs.
This model was released as a single #625 from 1975-1980, and as the Hobo Gift Set #2085, with the book, in a picture carrying case box from 1975-1981. Also available through Sears in 1976 (#49N2314) - see separate record for for those photos and information.
