Solid Black with either black or tan hooves. Released as a Single Model #401 from 1981-1988. This model has the round Breyer Molding Co Copyright Stamp only, and some models have a B Stamp, which signifies a different plastic blend was used for the mold.
In 1981-1983, set #2095 came with a book and poster.
In 1981-1985 this model was released in the Black Stallion and Alex Set #3000, which included the paperback book, "The Black Stallion" by Walter Farley, Alex doll, racing silks, saddle and bridle. This set was also available in 1981-1982 through Sears, Montgomery Ward and JC Penney.
In 1986, just the single model was released through Sears as #49N21065.
