In 2002, the brown/black bronze version of this model was available at BreyerFest 2002, with leftover models available to purchase through JAH for $225. Less than 100 models were produced. Either a few leftover models, or perhaps a few additional models, were available at the 2002 Scottsdale model horse show.
Per Identify Your Breyer: There were 3 color variations of this bronze mold: dark brown/black, white marble with a patina look, or a blue green color to look like verdigris or patina, and in 2009, an estimated 10 of each color were released at BreyerFest and came with a wood base with a brass plate that read 'Gentle Giant'. Unknown the final amount of bronze models produced.
Side note: While there is evidence of these 3 colors being released on the Huckleberry Bey mold, it is uncertain that the white and blue variations on the Shire mold exist.
