Prancer: White - Robin Hood

#P45 Robin Hood with White Prancer (see record #P45 for model details). This set included Robin Hood with removable plastic sword and bow, and a dark brown plastic Medieval style saddle with high pommel and cantle, molded on saddle blanket, and pull-through cinch.

Robin has dark brown or black hair, blue eyes, green outfit with green or red boots, cap could be green with a red feather or red with a green feather, and some came with a hang tag. The cap is part of the mold and not removable. Robin Hood is the only vintage rider that can both stand and ride, was sculpted by Chris Hess, and has no mold marks or Copyright Stamps. Robin Hood was originally only released with the white Prancer.

Sears: 1956 as Robin Hood on White Horse. With saddle, reins, sword and bow. Original price was $3.69.

There may also be a few of these sets that were made into Music Boxes that played the William Tell Overture. Estimated timeframe from 1956-1957 based on the Palomino and Black Pinto Prancer music boxes. This model is not shown in any of the dealer catalogs or the Sears holiday catalogs, so unknown how it was distributed.

Side note: There are photos pictured that incorrectly show Robin Hood with a knife. He did not come with a knife, but a sword.
