Chestnut with various socks, but most models have at least a prominent back right stocking. Originally sculpted by Maureen Love for Hagen-Renaker as a portrait of the famous race horse. Models are stamped with Copyright Breyer Molding Co 1975. Some models have a B Stamp, which signifies a different plastic blend was used for the mold. Early models had a space between the tail and leg, but that was soon filled in, until 2004 when Breyer retooled the mold to again have that space.
Released as a single #5021 from 1975-1994, and available in the Stablemate Assortment Set #5600 from 1990-1994. Models were released late in 1975, so not pictured in the catalog. These models were made from the heavier Cellulose Acetate plastic, except from 1992-1994 when they were made with the ABS plastic.
