Glossy dapple grey, grey mane and tail, 4 stockings with grey hooves, and bald face with pink nose and ears. These white spots are considered dapples (black spots would be appaloosa spots). Most models just have the dapples on the rump, though there can be a wide range of variation. An uncommon variation was matte finish, late in the run. From 1962-1968, this mold was called 'Sugar', then starting in 1969, was just called 'Running Mare'.
This color was originally on a price list in 1962; however, this model first appeared in catalogs in 1963. In 1970-1972, this model was available in the Showcase Collection box as #1230.
