AQHA Foundation Sire Series: Offspring of Wimpy P-1

1st out of 4 in the Foundation Sire Series. Came with a Registration application. Brown chestnut with darker mane and tail, slight grey stripes in tail, dorsal stripe and no white markings. Based on one of the major foundation stallions of the Quarter Horse breed from a painting by Orren Mixer, as seen pictured in the 1995 catalog. However, this model is not an actual portrait, but a representation of an offspring of Wimpy P-1. Model has an 'AQHA '95' stamp on the inner back left leg.

1200 models were available through QVC/Q2 as #705695.

An estimated 250 models were released through QVC/Q2 as #707795. These models were the first of this run, and painted a deeper red chestnut color; however, the AQHA wanted the models to be more of a brown chestnut color, so these first releases were offered through QVC.

In 1995, this model was also released through JC Penney with limited quantities. All models appear to have the same coloring and markings, and the semi gloss models may just be a variation of any of the releases.
