Estimated around 1979-1982, this model was was distributed through Disney World and Disney Land. It has the Blue Tail Ribbon with White Crisscross. These models also appear to have glossy hooves. Leftover models were released through Montgomery Ward.
Montgomery Ward (#62509) release from 1982-1983 has Yellow Tail Ribbon with Red Crisscross. Leftover models were sold through Bentley's in 1984 as #94B. Released in a set with a Dapple Grey Shire.
Per Nancy Young's 5th Edition of "Breyer Horses, Riders, & Animals Molds & Models", the Yellow tail version was sold through Montgomery Ward and later through Bentley's, and the White tail version was sold through mail order companies in 1986-1987 and limited to 350 pieces. Most reference books and websites defer to that information; however the attached information from the 2020 Vintage Club Brochure reverses this information.
