Black Pinto with white mane, white tip on black tail, four stockings, and a bald face or large undefined blaze. He came with either the black snap-on saddle or a charcoal color hard plastic newer saddle (see separate record), and chain reins. The breast collar is either all gold, or just the studs and straps are gold, and the bridle is all gold. Both matte and glossy versions.
The Snap-On Saddle came in two colors; Black with gold or silver accents, and brown with gold accents. The 'high grommet' version can be seen in the 1954-1958 catalogs and the 1960 catalog shows the 'low grommet' version. In the 1968 catalog, the new hard plastic saddle is released. For more specific details, read Nancy Young's 5th Edition of "Breyer Horses, Riders, & Animals Molds & Models".
Besides size, the main difference between the Western Horse and the Western Pony is three studs on the bridle, instead of the four found on the Pony.
