This model was released in the Series 2 Mare & Foal Collection - Morgan Set #3955, Winners Choice Micro Horses by Creata International in 1997. Set #39551 consisted of two of the Mare & Foal Collection sets packaged together: Mustang and Belgian; Appaloosa and Pinto; Arabian and Quarter Horse; and, Percheron and Morgan. This set was produced for Mass Market stores (larger retail stores like Target).
In 1998, this model was released in the Series III Pretty Pasture Playset #3970. Set included a Cantering Morgan Mare, Prancing Foal, stable, doll, pond, jumps, and trophy. The Series III models had a very short sales run as there were production issues with Creata International. This set was considered a Special Run or Collector's Edition, and produced by Creata International for Specialty Market stores (smaller retail stores).
In 2001, this set as #2334, was rebranded by the Nylint Corporation. The models were the exact same, including the copyright stamp, but packaged with a little rider figure.
Breyer bought this mold and accessories in 2004.
