Mounted on a wooden base with pole, with a felt saddle and leather reins. The unicorn was the first in an annual series of five models that would fit into a wooden carousel base with a canopy. The set was going to include a blue Clydesdale, a pink Morgan, a Saddlebred, and possibly an Arabian. This series, however, did not continue after the Unicorn was released. The models pictured in the Montgomery Ward catalog would end up being prototypes.
