Bay with black points and 4 or various stockings, grey or black hooves and a solid face. Originally sculpted by Maureen Love for Hagen-Renaker. Models are stamped with Copyright Breyer Molding Co 1975; however, early releases did not have a stamp. These models were made from the heavier Cellulose Acetate plastic.
Released in the 1975 Sears Christmas catalog in the 'Miniature Family' set (#49C20263), which included a Bay Arabian Stallion, Bay Thoroughbred Mare and Bay Standing Thoroughbred Foal. This set was released in a little white box with a drawing of the molds. The Breyer number for this set is #5670.
Notice the white Stablemate card shows Reeves Intl in New Jersey on the front, and Breyer Molding Co in Chicago on the back. Even though Reeves purchased Breyer in 1984, packaging remained like this through 1989.
