Bay with black points, various or no stockings, grey or black hooves and a solid face. Early models had more muscle definition. Originally sculpted by Maureen Love for Hagen-Renaker as a portrait of the famous race horse. Models are stamped with Copyright Breyer Molding Co 1975. Released late in 1975, so not shown in the catalog. Some models have a B Stamp, which signifies a different plastic blend was used for the mold. Single model #5024 was available 1976-1990. These models were made from the heavier Cellulose Acetate plastic.
In 1979-1980, this model was released in the Stablemates and Stable Set #3085 and included a cardboard stable, the Quarter Horse Mare, Seabiscuit and the Thoroughbred Standing and Lying Foals. Seabiscuit had replaced the QH Stallion around 1979.
