Color varied from a brownish red bay to a bright dark blood bay with black points and solid face. Very early versions had grey hooves, otherwise the run had black hooves. There is supposed to be a small white spot on the back right fetlock, but this spot is painted over or looks grey on many models. Model was originally released with a 'wheat ear' marking on the chest; however it was removed sometime during the run. Not all models in this release had it.
Was available through JC Penny and Montgomery Ward in 1984-1985, with the book, "King of the Wind" by Marguerite Henry, and available through Sears in 1984 without the book.
In 1986, the Sham and Lady Roxana set was released through Sears (#49N21060). The set included Sham, Lady Roxana and the book, "King of the Wind" by Marguerite Henry.
