Bobs and tail ribbon are the same woodgrain color. From 1959-1961, this model was released in a semi-glossy finish with no muscles, and around 1962 the model was re-tooled to include muscles. The muscle version pertains to the amount of muscle details the model has; whereas the no muscle version shows a very smooth surface to the model. If you look at the Montgomery Ward ads - it looks like 1961 has no muscles, and 1962 has the muscles.
Early models had no Copyright Stamps, then the round Breyer Molding Co Stamp was added. Both muscle versions appear to have the stamp.
