Western Horse: Brown Pinto

Advertised as Brown Pinto in the 1954-55 catalog, with colors that varied from a light tan to a dark orange brown, a bald face or undefined large blaze, and four socks. He came with the brown snap-on saddle and chain reins. Bridle is all gold, and the studs and straps of the breast collar are gold.

The Snap-On Saddle came in two colors; Black with gold or silver accents, and brown with gold accents. The 'high grommet' version can be seen in the 1954-1958 catalogs and the 1960 catalog shows the 'low grommet' version. In the 1968 catalog, the new hard plastic saddle is released. For more specific details, read Nancy Young's 5th Edition of "Breyer Horses, Riders, & Animals Molds & Models".

Besides size, the main difference between the Western Horse and the Western Pony is three studs on the bridle, instead of the four found on the Pony.
