Western Pony: Alabaster - Lucky Ranger

This is the #45 Glossy White Western Pony with 'Lucky Ranger' as set #345 as seen in the 1958-1959 catalog. (See record #45 for model details). He came with a black hard plastic snap-on or cinch-less Western saddle with tapaderos, rifle, 2 handguns and a removable cowboy hat.

The Lucky Ranger and Cowboy are the same molds, have the same 'Howdy Doody' style face, and have dark brown hair, eyes and eyebrows with red lips. The Lucky Ranger wears a light tan jacket with gold fringe, white shirt, turquoise neckerchief and dark brown chaps (this 1958-59 release has a bare white plastic shirt, red neckerchief and less facial details). The Cowboy (not released in this set) wears a buckskin jacket (unpainted fringe), turquoise shirt, red neckerchief and dark brown chaps. They are sculpted by Chris Hess, and have no mold marks or Copyright Stamps.
