The set consisted of Night Deck, the Lady Phase mold, and Night Vision, the Stock Horse Foal mold. The original COA was made to look like the ApHC real horse registration papers. The buyer's name and set number were written on the COA, and some models had the numbers written on the underside of the belly. These are portrait models of real horses owned by Karen Grimm of Black Horse Ranch.
"This set was originally issued in 1992 in the likeness of Night Deck, the 1991 Appaloosa World Champion Broodmare and Night Vision, her 1991 World Champion Weanling Filly. Both horses are living out their retirement at Black Horse Ranch in Minden, NV.
Karen Grimm had a wonderful habit of 'stashing away' Black Horse Ranch exclusive Special Runs from Breyer. In 2015 a boxful of Night Decks were discovered, which lead to the discovery of miss-marked cases of not only the Lady Phases (Night Deck) but also the Standing Stock Horse Foals (Night Vision).
This set is marked 2015 in gold between the hind legs to denote the discovery of these lost sets. They are part of the original 1500 sets issued in 1992." From the 2015 version COA.
