Bay with bald face and 2 front socks and back legs are black or dark grey with grey hooves. Bald face and 4 socks is a less common variation. Bay with Star has no black on the legs, and 4 socks that were either grey or white. Grey socks are less common. Early bald face models have eye whites (most eye whites had ended by 1969). In 1970-1972, model was available in the Showcase Collection boxes as #490.
Has the round Breyer Molding Co Copyright Stamp, and around 1970, the USA Stamp was added. The Star variation appears to be later in the run, around 1970-1971, around the same time as the USA Stamp; however, models do exist that have the Star and no USA Stamp.
