There was a lot of brown shading variation through the years. The antlers are separately molded pieces. Models originally had the round Breyer Molding Co Copyright Stamp, then around 1970, the USA Stamp was added.

In 1997, this model was advertised as part of the National Park Foundation Series. First 3 months of 1997 had bicolor eyes. On the 1997 Retired List.

The 1998 version for the National Park series was a different color and released as #396, see separate record.
