"Mikes Red Baron: Chestnut AQHA gelding in a reining spin pose. Chestnut with a diamond shaped star, left front and left rear white pasterns, right rear short white stocking. Came with Freestyle reining costume, brown rubber western saddle with rope edging, white felt saddle blanket, dark brown rubber bridle with silver curb bit, and brown breast collar with rope edging. Rear fetlock rubber sliding boots. Rubber rear saddle tapadero in white with blue and red stars. One set of mane and tail had red, white and blue stars. The extra mane and tail and both forelocks were solid chestnut color. Named after my husband's homebred Quarter horse. Used for reining, police work, crowd control, search and rescue and a great trail horse." Quoted by Candace Liddy, Sculptor and Artist. Mass Market Release.
The Creata Winners Choice Gold Standard Horses were in production from 1998-2000. They were designed by Candace Liddy and distributed by John Lindsey and Gail Good from The Horse Collector, Ltd. There were 4 models created for Mass Market stores (such as Target, Sears, ToysRUs and Walmart), and 6 models created for Special Market stores.
Breyer/Reeves International purchased the Winners Choice Micro models in 2004, and rebranded them as Mini Whinnies. The Winners Choice Gold Standard models were retired in 2000 and not purchased by Breyer, but added to this site as an added reference for Winners Choice models.
