This model was released in the Series I Saddlebred Set #3960, Winners Choice Micro Horses by Creata International. Per Artist Candace Liddy, the packaging was completed in 1996, however the models were not available until 1997. Breyer bought this mold and accessories in 2004.
Also in 1997, this model was released in the Series 1 set #3970 Carousel Cool-Down Playset. Set included a Bay Show Pose Saddlebred, Chestnut High Stepping Saddlebred, Palomino Jog Trot Mare, 2 dolls, hot walker, water trough, stool, feed bags and hay bale.
These sets were all produced for Mass Market stores (larger retail stores like Target).
