This model was released in the Series I Appaloosa Set #3960, Winners Choice Micro Horses by Creata International. Per Artist Candace Liddy, the packaging was completed in 1996, however the models were not available until 1997. Breyer bought this mold and accessories in 2004.
Also in 1997, this model was released in the Series 1 set #3970 Champion Corral Playset. Set included a black Playful Arabian and bay Appaloosa Standing Quarter Horse, fencing, gate, 2 dolls, 3 barrels, feed bags, hay bale and jump.
These sets were all produced for Mass Market stores (larger retail stores like Target).
