"First manufactured in Surrey, England, the Surrey cart was a doorless, two-axled carriage that was popular in the United States during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The Surrey offered a variety of top options, from rigid to convertible to fringed, allowing drivers to show off their own particular style.
