Black with solid face and four faint stockings, most with a prominent sock on the back left leg. Grey hoof with the sock was released during the 1970's/early 1980's and the pink hoof (with the sock) appeared in the later 1980's.
Originally sculpted by Maureen Love for Hagen-Renaker. This model has had either the mold stamp or no stamp at all, and some had the B stamp with or without the mold stamp. This mold is unique in that if it did not have any mold stamp, it didn't mean it was an earlier release. These models were made from the heavier Cellulose Acetate plastic.
Notice the white Stablemate card shows Reeves Intl in New Jersey on the front, and Breyer Molding Co in Chicago on the back. Even though Reeves purchased Breyer in 1984, packaging remained like this through 1989.
