Chestnut Reiner - Test Run

"The first release in the Test Run offerings for 2022 – exclusively for Breyer Collector Club members! Breyer test run models are initial decos painted up to see how a particular color might look on a particular sculpture. Or, they may be created to test out a painting technique or new colorway. Not all test run models are used, and they may vary over time as different painting techniques are developed and tested. Each model has a fixed price and interested members enter a random draw for the ability to purchase the test piece. Part of the Classics Western Performance Series and sculpted by Carol Herden, Breyer’s 1:12 scale reining horse sculpture was originally released as a portrait of the legendary AQHA stallion Hollywood Dun It in 1998. Depicted in the midst of a sliding stop, this sculpture is one of the most unique of Breyer’s offerings in any scale! This test run model likely dates to the early 2000s and is a shaded medium chestnut with an elongated star, snip, and freehanded sock on the right front leg. Taking into account his age and status as true test model, the Chestnut Reiner is in great condition overall, with only a few small shiny marks from handling over the years. This piece of Breyer history is priced at $650 and comes with a certificate of authenticity." www.breyerhorses.com.
