"The Württemberger is one of the many warmblood breeds produced in Germany. First developed in the state of Baden-Württemberg, these horses were originally bred to be a multipurpose mount used for both riding and farm work. Later the breed was refined into the lighter riding horse seen today. The Württemberger and other warmbloods have become a popular choice due to their easy going nature, athletic ability, and versatility. With careful breed guidelines and complete records of breed registries, Germany is one of the top producers of sport horses today, and they can be found competing in a variety of disciplines from show jumping to dressage.
At BreyerFest this summer, we are so excited for fans to meet Chablis, a multi-champion Württemberger hunter. He has been immortalized as one of BreyerFest’s Limited Edition Traditional models, available to all BreyerFest: Prost! ticket holders, whether you’re joining us in person or online. Done on Susan Carlton Sifton’s Warmblood Stallion, mold #711, Chablis is a stunning dark bay with dappling and three white socks. Chablis is a Württemberger gelding who knows he’s turning heads in the hunter ring for more than one reason. The stunning dark bay with an equally stunning jump is owned by Libertas Farm, LLC, and ridden by Kelly Tropin. As a young horse Chablis showed promising talent and a natural affinity towards the hunters. Together the pair has won numerous championships and high score awards in the 3’6 Amateur Owner division at the National Horse Show, Pennsylvania National Horse Show, Washington International Horse Show, WCHR week at the Winter Equestrian Festival, and at the Hampton Classic. On top of his many championships, Chablis was named the 2020 WCHR Hunter of the Year. His long list of achievements prove Chablis is no stranger to the spotlight!" www.breyerhorses.com.
