Dapple grey with grey mane and tail, 4 socks with grey hooves, bald face and a brown or black bridle and harness. This model is typically a darker grey than the original version, and came in a matte, semi-gloss or glossy finish. The hatband is yellow, or unpainted. It is estimated this yellow hatband version started around 1970. The same model with green hatband is pictured in catalogs through 1975, however, it is thought those models were only available until around 1972. See other record for that model.
In 1984, an estimated 200 models were attached to a wooden base, pulling a wagon for McCormick Distilling Co, and carrying a bottle of McCormick bourbon.
Has the round Breyer Molding Co Copyright Stamp, and around 1970, the USA Stamp was added, and some models have a B Stamp, which signifies a different plastic blend was used for the mold. Still researching if any of the yellow hatband models came without a USA Stamp (that would date them to 1970 or earlier).
