"Buggies are light, simple, two-person carriages drawn by one or two horses that have been in use since the late 18th century. These could either have two or four wheels, depending on their country of manufacture, and most had fold-down tops. Until mass production of automobiles made cars affordable for everyone, the buggy was the most common method of transportation for the everyday person. Still the method of transportation for the Amish, Mennonites, and other Anabaptists, the buggy remains simple, useful, and iconic to this day.
